UI/UX Designer, 2019-2022
Hundred is a digital agency located in Seoul, South Korea, offering UX design consulting, service design, and digital marketing to a diverse range of clients. I began my career as a UI/UX designer at this company, where I provided B2C and B2B solutions to various clients for three years.
About Project
This project is about redesigning the brand website for Toytron, a toy company in Korea. Toytron needed a new website to promote Toytron's business and values.
My Role
In this project, I collaborated with a project manager, a senior designer, a fellow designer, and a developer. I analyzed Toytron's strengths and weaknesses and derived insights from thorough competitor research to formulate a strategy for the design of the Toytron brand website.
Impact
External visitors who were not familiar with Toytron can now efficiently understand what the company does through the newly designed Toytron brand website. This redesign has contributed to increasing Toytron's brand awareness.
About Project
This project is a microsite designed to showcase the brand story of Sylvanian Families, a brand under Toytron.
My Role
This project was completed 100% by me alone. After conducting desk research on the Sylvanian Families brand, I identified 'luxury' and 'classic' as the key design strategy keywords for the microsite. Based on this strategy, I designed the website and implemented it through front-end development.
Impact
Through this microsite, Toytron can effectively promote its Sylvanian Families brand to business partners and external customers.
About Project
IT's Sports, a sports agency based in South Korea, needed a website for recruiting professional athletes.
My Role
I led the design of the website for It's Sports based on a design strategy developed to effectively recruit athletes through the site. This included one main page, four subpages, and twelve athlete pages. I implemented F pattern and Z pattern layouts to provide an intuitive information layout and designed the layouts using HTML and CSS.
Impact
Since the launch of this website, IT's Sports has successfully recruited over 20 professional athletes up to 2024.
04. Crafting a Unique Digital Presence for YouTube Creators
About Project
12CLAB is a creator studio for YouTubers. They wanted a website that would effectively express their identity and attract creative creators.
My Role
In this project, which I collaborated on with a project manager, a senior designer, and a developer, I developed the concept of their identity as aliens visiting Earth and designed a main page along with five subpages.
Impact
This website has helped 12CLAB promote its brand internally and externally, expand its business, and recruit more creators for over two years.
05. Monitoring River Pollutants: Intuitive Dashboard UI Design
About Project
This project aims to modernize the UI of the pollutant dashboard for The Korea Environment Corporation.
My Role
This project consisted of a team of a project manager, a senior designer, a fellow designer, and a developer. I was responsible for 40% of the UI design for the dashboard needed to monitor pollutants.
Impact
This dashboard contributed to the efficient management and monitoring of pollutant data nationwide.
06. Revamp of Pollution Reduction Facility Website
About Project
The Korea Environment Corporation's old website had a complex structure that made it difficult to inform the public about their projects. They wanted a user-friendly website to advertise their business to the public.
My Role
This project consisted of a team of a project manager, a senior designer, a fellow designer, and a developer. My role was to replace a large amount of text with illustrations and icons, and using colors that reflect the corporation's identity.
Impact
The illustrations replacing technical jargon on the new website played a crucial role in making The Korea Environment Corporation's projects more accessible and appealing to the public, effectively promoting and publicizing their work.
About Project
The dashboard of the Gimcheon City Bus Information System had an outdated UI and inconvenient usability compared to the bus systems of other cities, failing to meet the needs of its citizens. Gimcheon City Bus Information System tasked us with modernizing the old dashboard.
My Role
In a team consisting of a project manager, a senior designer, and a developer, my role was to modernize the UI of the dashboard.
Impact
The modernized UI significantly improved the usability of the Gimcheon City Bus Information System's dashboard, allowing 130,000 citizens of Gimcheon to access bus information more easily and efficiently, resulting in increased satisfaction and usage.
08. Air Force Base Dashboard Design: Creating a Monitoring System for Shuttle Bus
About Project
This project is to design a dashboard system for the Republic of Korea Air Force to manage their shuttle bus operations at the air bases.
My Role
In a team consisting of a project manager, a senior designer, and a developer, I designed 50% of the UI for the shuttle bus monitoring dashboard.
Impact
Through this dashboard, the Republic of Korea Air Force was able to efficiently monitor and manage the movement of 65,000 Air Force personnel using shuttle buses.
09. Shuttle Bus Kiosk UI/UX Design: Enhancing Readability and Accessibility
About Project
Sejong City in South Korea wanted a kiosk design for autonomous shuttle buses to be installed in parks for the citizens of Sejong.
My Role
This project consisted of a team including a project manager, a senior designer, and a developer. First, I determined the screen size of the kiosk. Based on this, I developed a design system that includes font sizes and colors that meet WCAG standards. Following this design system, I worked on the UI for the screen as required by Sejong City.
Impact
Since the kiosk was installed in Sejong City's Citizen Park in 2020, it has greatly assisted 400,000 citizens in booking autonomous shuttle buses.
10. Seegene Job Posting Character Design
About Project
This project was to design eye-catching and engaging job postings for Seegene, a genetic engineering company in South Korea.
My Role
This project was a collaboration with a project manager and a senior designer. In this project, I designed Seegene's superhero characters to be used as key visuals for their job postings.
Impact
The superhero characters I designed for Seegene served as the key brand identity for their job postings. As a result, they captured the attention of applicants interested in joining Seegene, leading to increased engagement and interest in their job openings.
